Farmers left for Delhi on Tuesday morning. The farmer agitators were not stopped by the barricades put up by the Punjab Police across the state. Farmers were seen marching towards the Haryana border with their convoy of tractors, trolleys, JCB and other vehicles without any restriction.

During this time, policemen were seen fearlessly giving way to the farmer agitators at the barricades of Punjab Police at Rajpura Bypass, Dappad, Laldu and other places. The farmer agitators reached Shambhu border via the village road, just 200 meters from Sri Gurudwara Sahib located in Lahari from Dappar Toll Plaza.

There were instructions from the Punjab government that the convoy of farmers should not be stopped.

Strict instructions were given to the police department by the Punjab government not to stop the convoy of farmers to march to Delhi. Policemen were asked to manage the arrangements to ensure that the people of the state do not face any problem during the farmers’ march to Delhi.

This is the reason that on the lines of Haryana, no concrete fortification, barricading or any concrete arrangement to stop the farmer agitators or any incident of clash was seen anywhere in Punjab.
