The body of a farmer who was missing from his home for two days was found hanging from a tree in a field near the canal on Ahwaranpur-Nayabans road on June 20. On receiving the information, Kotwali Hathras Gate police reached there. The family members have suspected murder.

According to the family members, Hublal (50) son of Roshanlal, resident of village Kachpura Bisana of Kotwali Chandpa area, had borrowed 20 thousand rupees from a person. It is alleged that he was constantly harassing him for the money. Hublal left his house on June 18, but did not return home. The family members searched a lot, but could not find any clue.

On the morning of 20th June, his body was found hanging from a tree in a field near the canal on the Ahwaranpur-Nayabans road. As soon as the nearby villagers saw the body, they informed the police. Kotwali Hathras Gate Police also reached the spot. With the help of the villagers, the body was brought down from the tree. On questioning the villagers, the body was identified as Hublal.

Prima facie, it appears that the person has committed suicide. The body has been handed over to the relatives after conducting a post-mortem.-Ram Pravesh Rai, CO City.
