Farmer Ramsakal Yadav (50), accused of attempt to culpable homicide, died during a raid on Wednesday morning in Chari village of Bansgaon area of Gorakhpur district. It is alleged that during the escape, the constables kicked him while chasing, due to which he fell down and lost his life. Whereas, the police have denied kicking. On the other hand, Ramsakal, who was brought to the district hospital in an unconscious state, was declared brought dead by the doctors.
Ramsakal’s daughter Rinki told that my father and mother were beaten up by Mishri Yadav’s sons Sadhu Yadav, Rambachan, Shivbachan, Ramdarsh for cutting sugarcane, in which a case was registered by Mishri in the Bansgaon police station under assault. Radhey Yadav and Ramsakal Yadav were made accused. Later, during the discussion, the critic Sunil Sharma extended section 308. When the police came to arrest Papa, he was having dinner.
Seeing the police, Devrad ran towards the village. Police was running from behind. Mishri and his boys and family members surrounded Papa from all sides. By the time we reached the spot, Papa had fainted after being beaten up and foam was coming out of his mouth. On returning, I told my mother that the police had killed my father. However, by then the police had taken them to Bansgaon.
