This time, Delhi Police has made tremendous preparations by learning from the problems faced in stopping farmers at the Singhu border in 2020. The police have already made six layers of heavy barricading under the flyover of Singhu border. In such a situation, the path for people traveling on foot has also been closed. However, to avoid inconvenience to the people, traffic has not been completely stopped on the Singhu border.
Over the flyover on NH 44, a two-lane road is open for traffic in both directions to and from Delhi. Due to this, people coming from Haryana, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Himachal and Jammu are coming to Delhi using this route. On the other hand, keeping in view the security, the small and big roads of Narela adjacent to the Singhu border have been sealed by the police.
At present, the police have installed cement and concrete dividers about five to six feet high on the Singhu border. Apart from this, divider stones of two to three feet have also been kept. Barbed wires have also been installed over them. After this, iron barricades and then the road have been dug up and iron containers about 10 to 15 feet high have been erected.
