Tension continues between the central government and farmer leaders to stop the farmers’ march to Delhi. Police has fired tear gas shells at Shambhu border between Punjab and Haryana. Heavy police force is deployed at Shambhu border of Ambala. Farmers are coming to Delhi to protest demanding a law guaranteeing minimum support price. Meanwhile, national spokesperson of Bharatiya Kisan Union Rakesh Tikait has issued his statement regarding this.

He said that this march has been called by the (Farmers) Union, but in case of any injustice, farmers across the country are with the farmers of Haryana-Punjab. They are coming to present their case and the government should listen to them! They all have the same issues. Loan waiver, implementation of Swaminathan Commission report and making law for MSP. He said that neither the farmer is far from us, nor is Delhi far from us. If farmers want to express their views, the government should listen to them.
