In fact, a child in village Dubchera of Daundilohara development block of Balod district had difficulty in going to school. Seeing this, his father Santosh Sahu arranged for a junk electric bicycle for his son.
Santosh’s son Kishore Kumar studies class VIII in Swami Atmanand English Medium School, Arjunda, 20 km from his village. Santosh, father of student Kishore, told that he had made this bicycle in the year 2021. However, this bicycle made by him is now going viral on social media and is being discussed. This bicycle made from Jugaad runs on two batteries. This cycle gets fully charged in 6 hours and runs up to 80 km. This electric bicycle made from Jugaad is today in discussion in the entire state including the district and now Santosh is getting orders for making electric bicycles. People are saying that we should make a bicycle like yours for them too.
After the bicycle went viral on social media, Santosh has received a total of 4 orders so far and he will work on making electric bicycles after Diwali. Santosh’s son Kishore was going to school by bus but could not get a bus to come home after school. This brought the thought to his mind that why not make a battery operated bicycle. Then he learned by watching from YouTube and ordered the goods. After that, an electric bicycle was made from Jugaad in just two days.
Let us tell you that Santosh Sahu is a bicycle mechanic and welder by profession, so he did not face much difficulty in making this bicycle. Kishore’s journey to school is also easy with this bicycle.
