Father’s Day 2024: The third Sunday of June is celebrated as Fardus Day. This year Fardus Day is on 16 June 2024.
On this occasion, children make their father feel special. It is said that the celebration of Fardus Day first started in 1910.

Devaki and Vasudeva decided to leave their eighth child, Shri Krishna, with Gokul Nanda to save him from Kansa.
Nanda, who is not Krishna’s father but his foster father, also left no stone unturned in giving Krishna immense love and making his life beautiful.
This shows that in every era and every generation, fathers have done, are doing and will continue to do the work of becoming the backbone of the child.
Padmapurana Srishtikhand (47/11) stated in-
Mother who is full of all the holy things and is full of all the gods: father.
Mother and father are worshipped with all efforts.
the meaning is: Mother is the embodiment of all holy places and father is the embodiment of all gods. Therefore, parents should be worshipped with all care.
One who circumambulates his parents, circumambulates the Earth along with all the seven islands.
In the scriptures and Vedas, the mother has been considered as equivalent to a goddess and the father has been considered as the form of all the gods.
The debt of hard work that parents put in to raise, nurture and mold their children can never be repaid.
Whereas father, like a tree, provides us shade so that coolness and gentleness remain in our lives.

Who is the father: According to Chanakya Niti, these five are called fathers- the one who gives birth, the one who makes rules, the one who imparts education, the one who provides food and the one who removes fears.
