Will Siddharth Anand make the sequel of ‘Fighter’?
During an interview given to Pinkvilla, ‘Fighter’ director Siddharth Anand talked about the possibility of a sequel to this film. He said that he is scared of making Part 2. He said that he is one of those directors who has not made a sequel yet because he prefers to avoid it. However, Anand said, ‘Never Say Never’, the love of the audience will decide what to do. As of now, only 3-4 days have passed since the release and he has some great ideas for ‘Fighter 2’ that he wants to pen down.
Siddharth also said that he is not excited to make a sequel at the moment because he wants to create new characters and new stories. There is a certain amount of comfort zone in sequels and a director starts relying on nostalgia. If he does this then the director will feel stagnant and will come into the comfort zone. Anand made it clear that he does not want to go into the comfort zone.
How much has the fighter earned so far?
‘Fighter’ is getting very positive response from the audience. The audience is liking everything from the aerial action of the film to the onscreen chemistry of Deepika and Hrithik and with this the film is creating a stir at the box office. Talking about the earnings of ‘Fighter’, the film had collected Rs 22 crores on the first day of its release, Rs 39.5 crores on the second day, Rs 27.5 crores on the third day and Rs 28.50 crores on the fourth day. After this, the total collection of ‘Fighter’ has become 118 crores.
Apart from Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover have also played important roles in ‘Fighter’. Earlier, Siddharth had directed Hrithik in ‘War’ and now the sequel of this film is also being made. Although Siddharth has not directed the sequel of War. Reportedly, Ayan Mukherjee is set to direct the film with Jr NTR, Kiara Advani and Hrithik.
