Fiji Government Decide To Speak Hindi In Parliament Also Says Deputy PM Biman Chand Prasad | Hindi language will be spoken in the Parliament of Fiji, Deputy Prime Minister said before the World Hindi Conference


Hindi Language: The fame of India’s language Hindi is continuously increasing in many parts of the world. In this sequence, the 12th World Hindi Conference is going to be held in Fiji this time. The Foreign Ministry said that it will be organized in their country later this month with the support of the Fiji government. Representatives of 50 countries are expected to participate in this Hindi conference. Earlier, Fiji’s Deputy Prime Minister Biman Chand Prasad has said that from now onwards Hindi will be spoken in Fiji’s Parliament as well.

Talking to the news agency PTI, he said, ‘There was a slowdown in the promotion of Hindi in the last 8 to 10 years. Hindi was not being given as much priority as it should have been, but this Hindi conference will raise it again. Our new government has already taken a special decision two weeks back that now Hindi can be used in the Parliament as well. The previous government had banned Hindi and tribal language from speaking in Parliament but our government changed it.

Apart from this, Deputy Prime Minister Biman Chand Prasad said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi Had visited Fiji in the year 2014. During that tour, he created a new enthusiasm in Fiji. People all over the world praise his leadership. He has thousands of fans in Fiji. If he visits Fiji again, he will be accorded a special welcome.

Only last week, Biman Chand Prasad had met External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar. In a statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs, it was said that Jaishankar and Biman Chand Prasad discussed various aspects of cooperation and development partnership between India and Fiji, including health, education. Jaishankar had said, ‘Had a meaningful meeting with Fiji’s Deputy Prime Minister Biman Prasad. India-Fiji relations, our development cooperation and cooperation in multilateral fora were discussed. Jaishankar had said that they also exchanged views on the Indo-Pacific.
