A fire broke out on the first floor of a three-storey building in BBD, Lucknow on Thursday morning. The flames engulfed all three floors within a few moments. At the time of the incident, people present in the gym on the third floor ran to save their lives. Fire brigade brought the fire under control in five hours with eight vehicles.
Vansh Aggarwal has a tire shop named Bosch Service on the first floor of a three-storey building on the Lucknow-Ayodhya Highway. There is a tire warehouse on the second, while Vidya Bhushan Singh’s gym is on the third. On Thursday morning around 6 am, people were exercising in the gym when they saw smoke rising from the floor below. When people reached down, they saw that flames were coming out of the shop. Everyone ran out screaming. People informed the fire brigade about the incident. People nearby started extinguishing the fire. But the flames went out of control.

Meanwhile, fire brigade personnel reached the spot with eight vehicles and started relief work. By then the fire had become worse and all three floors were in its grip.
Problem increased due to narrow stairs
There was only one path to reach the third floor next to the shop, which was quite narrow. In such a situation, the fire brigade faced a lot of problems in extinguishing the fire. The fire brigade broke the glass on all three floors and put out the smoke and then tried to control the fire. After much effort the fire was completely extinguished at around 11 o’clock. According to FSO Gomtinagar Sushil Yadav, the fire was caused by short circuit. It was fortunate that people came out of the gym in time, otherwise a major accident could have happened.
