Mohammad Akram, the operator of Asmat General Store, said that after closing the shop, his brother Mohd. Asghar came to the bus stand to drop them. Suddenly they realized that smoke was coming out of their shop. After this, they hurriedly reached their shop, where they saw that strong flames were coming out of the shop. The local people made a lot of efforts to extinguish the fire, but it proved inadequate. After this the fire department was informed about the fire. Two fire tenders reached the spot and controlled the fire, but by then all the goods kept inside the shop were burnt to ashes.
Advance action will be taken upon receipt of application
The cause of fire in the shop is said to be due to short circuit. It is estimated that property worth Rs 6 lakh has been damaged in this incident. All the items including the fridge, coffee machine kept inside the shop were burnt to ashes. After getting information about the incident, Bihar police station also reached the spot and started investigating the matter. Bihar Police Station President Ramashankar Singh said that the reason for the fire is being said to be due to short circuit. The victim operator is busy assessing the damage. Advance action will be taken upon receipt of the application.
