Fish Research Center is established in village Rampur, which is connected to Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh. It has been established in collaboration with the scientist of Thailand. According to media reports, this center of Aqua Genetic has been established with the joint efforts of M Hatchery Raipur and Manit Group Thailand.

Subsidy is being received from Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana
The Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana is operated by the central government. Under the scheme, the central government gives subsidy to promote fish farming. Village Kherwari women self-help groups of Simga development block of Chhattisgarh are doing fish farming by cage culture method in closed mines. Here 12 cages have been prepared for fish farming. The cost of this project is Rs 36 lakh. For this, 60 percent subsidy has been received under Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana and 40 percent subsidy from DMF. This will give a boost to fisheries.
