Floodwatch India 2.0 App flood alert app launched by government check feature, usability and more


Floodwatch India 2.0 App: Union Minister for Jal Shakti Shri C.R. Patil today (August 14) launched the ‘Floodwatch India’ mobile app 2.0 developed by the Central Water Commission (CWC) in New Delhi. This app will provide information related to the flood situation in the country. This app was launched with the objective of disseminating flood forecast for 7 days.

In the first version, information about flood forecasts was given at 200 level forecast stations. Now, the second version of the app will provide current information related to an additional 392 flood monitoring centers. With this, the total number of these monitoring centers has become 592. Through this app, users will be able to take stock of the flood situation across the country. It will also help in better understanding the possible flood situation in their lower areas. Its audio is available in broadcast format. This app also provides flood forecast at the nearest location. It can prove to be very helpful for the users. Also, it is considered very easy to use.

Flood forecasting can be done

‘Floodwatch India’ developed by the Central Water Commission is designed for accurate and timely flood forecasting. Users will get support of Hindi and English language in this app, through which they will be able to get complete information. Users can get information about the flood situation at their nearest center on the home page itself.
