Florida Latest News: A heartbreaking news is coming out from Florida. Actually, on Friday (9 February 2024) a private plane crashed badly on the highway. Due to which 2 people died. The plane that crashed was of the Bombardier Challenger 600 series. According to media reports, this plane accident happened on Friday at around 3:15 pm on Interstate 75 near Naples. The Collier County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that there were 5 people on board the plane, out of which 2 passengers died, while 3 passengers are undergoing treatment.
The video of the incident is going viral very fast on social media. In the video going viral, the plane can be seen burning on the highway. During this period, dense black smoke remained visible in the surrounding areas for some time.

The pilot had informed about the danger
Naples Airport told WBBH about the incident, ‘About 2 minutes before the plane landed at Naples Municipal Airport, the pilot informed air traffic control about the danger via radio.’ It was told by the pilot that both the engines of the plane had broken down. During this he requested for emergency landing.

No success in landing the plane
The pilot also told that he would not be able to take the plane to the runway. Immediately after that the air traffic controller gave permission to land the plane on the highway. The pilot tried his best to land the plane safely, but he failed.
Following this horrific incident, the Collier County Sheriff’s Office and FHP Traffic are investigating and providing security assistance. He says he is also working with the FAA to reopen some lanes of traffic in the affected area as soon as possible.
