The forest department team caught the leopard, which became synonymous with terror, around Manjhra Farm on Shardanagar Road in Lakhimpur Kheri. Leopard was being seen in this area for the last several days, due to which there was panic among the villagers. To catch him, a cage was installed in the field by the forest department. Sometime on Monday night, the leopard was captured in the cage. The employee of Manjhra Farm informed on Tuesday morning. Forest officer reached the spot with the team. The caged leopard will be released in the forest of Dudhwa Tiger Reserve.
The child was killed on October 5
Within a month, three leopards have been caught from populated areas in the district. One of these leopards had killed a boy resident of Gangabehad village on the night of October 5. There was a huge uproar after this incident. Angry villagers blocked the Shardanagar road and pelted stones at the forest department and the police team. To catch the leopard, the forest department had installed cages at many places. After this the leopard was captured.

The leopard roaming in Grunt-12, Dhusakhurd Ghosiana and Dhaurahra of the forest range was caught on October 9. This leopard had devoured many stray animals and dogs in Dughatta, Dhaurahara, Sujaikunda and Dhushakhurd Ghosiana areas. Due to fear of leopard, villagers were not able to go to the fields for three months. The Forest Department had launched a campaign for 45 days to capture this leopard. Now another leopard has been caught in Manjhra Farm.
