Vinod Kambli’s wife Andrea Hewitt: Former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli is once again embroiled in controversies due to his wife. His wife has lodged a complaint at Mumbai’s Bandra Police Station for allegedly abusing and assaulting him. The wife says that Vinod Kambli assaulted and abused her in a drunken state in the flat. His wife alleged that Kambli threw the handle of a cooking pan at her, due to which she suffered a head injury.

Based on the complaints of wife Andrea Hewitt, Mumbai Police has booked Vinod Kambli under sections 324 and 504 of IPC. The incident took place between 1 pm and 1.30 pm on Friday when Kambli, allegedly in an inebriated condition, reached his Bandra flat and abused his wife. Bandra police officer told that before coming to the police, Kambli’s wife got her treated at Bhabha Hospital.

Police will record statement

Following the allegations of domestic violence by his wife, the police have asked Kambli to record his statement. A source in the Mumbai Police informed India Today that the Bandra Police has gone to serve notice under Section 41A of CrPC to Vinod Kambli. The police have called him to the police station to record his statement in a day or two. As of now, only one aspect of the matter has come to the fore, which Kabani’s wife Andrea Hewitt has told the police. The police will investigate the allegations of Vinod Kambli’s wife and questions related to this will be asked from Kambli.

Significantly, the Mumbai Police has registered an FIR based on the allegations of Vinod Kambli’s wife Andrea Hewitt. However, no arrest has been made in this incident yet.
