Former MLA of Kisni and democracy fighter passed away in Mainpuri, Uttar Pradesh. He had a heart attack. The police force saluted him. MLA Ramnaresh Agnihotri, SDM and CO paid tribute by laying a wreath on the body.

Democracy fighter Hakim Lal Verma, a resident of Mohalla Upartila of the city, who was a former MLA of Kishani, died of a heart attack on Sunday night after a long illness. As soon as the news was received late at night, people started thronging to pay tribute to him. On Monday afternoon, his body was given state honors and the tricolor flag was placed on the body.

MLA Ramnaresh Agnihotri, BJP District President Rahul Chaturvedi, former MLA Ashok Chauhan, Nagar Panchayat President Representative Ashish Tiwari, Arvind Singh Tomar placed the party flag on the body. SDM Sandhya Sharma, City Area Officer Ajay Kumar Singh and Inspector-in-Charge Gagan Kumar Gaur, along with Loktantra Senani District President Satish Chandra Awasthi, offered flowers and draped the tricolor flag on the body as a state honor.

The police guard saluted at the funeral site. His elder son Ashok Kumar Verma lit the funeral pyre. Karodi Lal Verma, Chhedlal Verma, Anurag Dubey, Lok Seva Sangh member Jitendra Singh Verma, Surendra Babu Shukla, Ramprakash, Ramdas, Block Pramukh Kashmir Singh Lodhi were present.
