Tension increased on Monday after the death of the son of the former head who was injured in the riot four days ago in Gausganj village of Shahi police station area of ââBareilly. The village was turned into a cantonment since morning. When the body reached the village after post-mortem, the anger of the victimâs side burst out.

When the funeral procession going to the crematorium was stopped, the officers demolished the illegal construction of ten accused including PRD jawan Bakhtawar, Irshad with the help of a bulldozer. Satisfied with this, the villagers performed the last rites in the afternoon.
On the night of July 19, people of one community in Gausganj pelted stones on the house of the other community. They also attacked with sticks. Many people, including Tejpal, son of former head Hiralal, who came to intervene, were seriously injured. Tejram was undergoing treatment in Bareilly. He died early Monday morning.
As soon as the information was received, police was deployed from the hospital and postmortem house to the village. SP Southern Manush Pareek reached the village. When he gauged the atmosphere of the village, he found out that the villagers were satisfied with the action taken by the police so far, but were demanding that bulldozers be run on the houses of the accused. After listening to the villagers and talking to the senior officials, a bulldozer was brought to the village.
