Court News: Darbhanga Revenue Court Judge Suman Kumar Diwakar has sentenced life imprisonment to the four accused in the murder case, Mo Guddu, Mo Nawab alias Leelu, Mo Kasim and Mo Ali Raja. A fine of Rs 1 lakh has also been imposed.

The court of Additional Sessions Judge Suman Kumar Diwakar of Civil Court, Darbhanga has sentenced 4 murder accused to life rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 1 lakh each for the crime of murder. According to the information, the mobile phone of deceased Mohd Salim was stolen. When the deceased called on his mobile, his mobile was received by accused Mohd Nabab alias Leelu.

The deceased Salim did not have to return his mobile, hence the four accused together killed him by pelting him with bricks and stones. Regarding this matter, the deceased’s brother Mo Rustam had lodged an FIR case number 477/22 of murder against the four accused at the University Police Station on 23 December 2022. The court took cognizance of this case after submitting the charge sheet.

APP Champa Mukherjee, who was conducting the prosecution on behalf of the prosecution, said that the court, taking cognizance of the chargesheet submitted in 477/22, has sentenced all four criminals to life rigorous imprisonment. Informant’s advocate Shivchandra Chaurasia said that the criminals had murdered the deceased Salim after stealing his mobile phone.
