To extort Rs 5 lakh in Moti Nagar area, a neighboring youth kidnapped a four year old girl and murdered her. Through CCTV cameras and technical investigation, the police have arrested the accused youth. On his information, the police recovered the girl’s body from her room. Police have registered a case of kidnapping and murder against the accused. The police are interrogating the accused and investigating the matter.
A four-year-old girl lived with her family in the slum of Chaara Mandi Zakhira. His father sells chicken on a street vendor. On Monday night, the victim’s family lodged a complaint at Moti Nagar police station about the disappearance of their four-year-old daughter. He told that the girl was playing outside the house in the evening. Suddenly she disappeared from there. Police registered a case of kidnapping on the complaint of the girl’s mother. Several police teams were formed and the search for the girl was started. The police captured the footage of the CCTV cameras installed around the girl’s house. Also, information about the girl was given on the WhatsApp group of the area and people were asked to give information related to it.
While the police were investigating the case, on Tuesday morning a neighbor of the girl’s father received a call regarding ransom. The accused said that the girl was in his custody and demanded Rs 5 lakh as ransom. After this the police started technical investigation. During technical investigation, the police became suspicious of Ajit, a 30-year-old youth living in the neighbourhood. The police took the accused into custody and interrogated him. But he kept trying to mislead the police. The police confronted him with electronic evidence. After this the accused confessed his crime. The police recovered the girl’s body from her room at the behest of the accused.
There is also a possibility of rape
The police officer said that the accused lived in the girl’s neighborhood and worked as a laborer in a factory. It is suspected that the accused has also raped the girl. However, police say that this will be confirmed only after the medical report comes.
