Six accused have been arrested in connection with a cyber fraud of Rs 71.80 lakh a month ago in the name of getting Kia Motors agency. The accused have been identified as Deepak Kumar, Saurav Kumar, Alok Kumar and Prabhakar Kumar alias Chiku of Dashrathpur in Bihar’s Nalanda district, Himanshu Raj of Sarabahadi and Abhishek Kumar alias Chhotu of Raghu Bigha.

16 mobile phones, one internet dongle, three fake invoices and other papers of Kia Motors Company, one debit card, two SIM cards and Rs 30,900 were recovered from the accused.
Based on the complaint of Tejaswi Shukla, a resident of Gauriganj, a case was registered in the Cyber Crime Police Station on June 18. Tejaswi told the police that he was cheated of Rs 71 lakh 80 thousand in the name of getting him the agency of Kia Motors Company.
DCP Varuna Zone/Crime Chandrakant Meena said that to solve the case, a team of Inspector Raj Kishore Pandey, Rakesh Kumar Gautam and Anita Singh and Head Constable Shyam Lal Gupta and Alok Kumar Singh was formed under the leadership of Cyber Crime Police Station in-charge Vijay Narayan Mishra. With the help of surveillance, digital footprints and open source intelligence tools, the police team identified and arrested six accused involved in the incident.
