In Aligarh, while watching a reel on Instagram with a youth of Iglas, he cheated ten lakh rupees on the pretext of getting the agency of Colddrink Company. When the young man realized the fraud, he reached the cyber police station. Police has registered a case and started investigation.
According to Vishal Dixit of Iglas, he was watching the reel on May 4 while checking his Insta ID on mobile. Then saw the advertisement of a Colddrink company’s agency. On this he started filling his information. After this a call came. From there some offers were told in the conversation. Then on May 5, a mail came on the ID from a person named Vikas Aggarwal. The information sought from there was sent in reply.
Along with a login ID and password was given. After this a call came. In which a registration fee of Rs 49500 was asked. After depositing the fees, they were asked to take goods worth a minimum of four to six lakh rupees. Then the agreement form was sent. Later, two lakh rupees were sent in the name of NOC form. Then a call came and said that your goods have been caught by the GST team in Indore.
One and a half lakh rupees were demanded to fill its challan. On this, Vishal refused to give the money and realized that he had been cheated. When he contacted the number of the company’s official by searching through Google, it became clear that he had been duped.
