During the G-20 conference, foreign guests will now be accommodated only in hotels in Delhi and Gurugram. Foreign guests will not stay in any hotel in Noida, Greater Noida and Faridabad. The Ministry of External Affairs has taken this decision in terms of security. The Ministry of External Affairs has sent the list of hotels to all the agencies including Delhi Police on Thursday. At the same time, 11 hospitals in Delhi have been put on high alert. Nodal officers have been made in all these.
A senior Home Ministry official said that it was initially decided that foreign guests would be accommodated in 32 hotels in Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Greater Noida and Faridabad. After this the number of hotels was reduced to 25. Delhi Police, Traffic Police and other civic agencies had made preparations. Delhi Traffic Police had also started a trial to bring foreign guests to Pragati Maidan by laying routes from these hotels located in NCR.
Now the Ministry of External Affairs has issued a letter on Thursday saying that foreign guests coming to the G-20 conference will stay only in 25 hotels in Delhi and 3 in Gurugram. These include The Leela, Oberoi and Trident hotels in Gurugram. Apart from this, AIIMS, Safdarjung Hospital, RML Hospital, Lady Hardinge Medical College, GB Pant, LNJP Hospital, GTB Hospital, Bara Hindurao Hospital, Delhi Government’s DHS, RR Hospital and Army Base Hospital have been put on alert. According to police officials, heads of all countries will visit Raj Ghat on 10 September.
There is a possibility of rain during the conference.
The temperature during the G-20 conference will be around 30 degree Celsius. Apart from this, there is a possibility of rain during the conference. In view of Yamuna flood, everyone is worried about what will happen if there is heavy rain.
Meeting between Delhi Police and Gurugram Police: After the arrival of the new list of hotels, the round of meetings between Delhi and Gurugram Police has started. The first meeting has taken place in Delhi on Friday evening. Officers of Delhi and Gurugram traffic police also participated in this.
Section-144 imposed in the capital, ban on flying drones
In view of the Independence Day celebrations, a ban has been imposed on flying drones etc. in Delhi till 16th August. Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora has issued an order on Friday saying that UAVs, UAS, microlight aircraft, remotely piloted aircraft, hot air balloons, small powered aircraft, quadcopters or para jumping from aircraft etc. have been banned in Delhi.
Section-144 has been implemented in entire Delhi. Anti-social elements or terrorists hostile to the country may use drones etc. to pose a threat to the security of general public, dignitaries and important establishments in Delhi. Violation of the order will be punishable under section 188 of the Indian Penal Code. A case will be registered under this.
