Gandhinagar Exit Poll: Gandhinagar Lok Sabha seat of Gujarat is considered as a stronghold of BJP. BJP has occupied this seat since 1989. For the last three and a half decades, no party other than BJP has even come close to winning this seat. This time, BJP’s strong leader Amit Shah is in the fray from here. According to India Today-Axis My India Exit Poll, Amit Shah is going to win this seat easily.
Amit Shah is contesting against Congress’ Sonal Patel on Gandhinagar seat. She has been the president of the women’s department of Gujarat Congress. Actually, Congress did not field any strong candidate on Gandhinagar seat, due to which Amit Shah’s path became very easy. This is the reason why exit polls are also now indicating that Amit Shah is going to win from here with a huge margin. Sonal Patel is proving to be the weak link of Congress.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Amit Shah defeated Chatursinh Javanji Chavda of Congress by a huge margin of 5.5 lakh votes. Earlier in 2014, Lok Sabha Elections In 2019, BJP veteran LK Advani defeated Congress’ Kiritbhai Ishwarbhai Patel by 4.8 lakh votes. LK Advani won the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha seat six times from 1998 to 2014. He contested from here for the first time in 2019. Amit Shah was given the ticket.
How many seats can BJP get in Gujarat?
According to India Today Axis My India Exit Poll, BJP is expected to get 25-26 seats in Gujarat. The party is heading towards a clean sweep in the state. Exit polls are showing that Congress can hardly get one seat in the state. However, according to election analyst Pradeep Gupta, the two seats where BJP can face tough competition are Sabarkantha and Bharuch. BJP can get 63 percent votes while Congress can get 30 percent votes.
