Ganesh immersion processions will be taken out in Agra, Uttar Pradesh on Anant Chaturdashi i.e. 16 September. The immersion will take place at Hathi Ghat, Balkeshwar, Kailash Ghat and Dussehra Ghat located on Yamuna Kinara Road. The route of vehicles has been changed for the arrangement.

Since most of the immersions take place at Hathi Ghat, people have been advised to avoid going on this route. The Commissionerate Office has given information about changes in traffic from the morning of 16 September to the morning of 17 September.

Read this advisory-

  • Vehicles will not be able to run from Waterworks Square to Shamshan Ghat Square via Yamuna Kinara Marg.
  • Vehicles from Yamuna Expressway towards Fatehabad Road, Gwalior will go via Inner Ring Road and then Fatehabad Road via Mall Road.
  • Commercial vehicles coming from Etmaduddaula on Ambedkar Bridge will not be able to move towards Belanganj.
  • Commercial vehicles will not be able to run from the intersection near the ACP Chhata office in Belanganj towards Hathigahat on the banks of the Yamuna.
  • Roadways buses and tourist buses will not be able to go from Agra Fort towards Hathighat from Bijlighar crossing.
  • No heavy vehicle like bus, tractor or loading vehicle will be allowed to proceed towards Yamuna bank Hathighat from Victoria Park crossing.
  • By placing a barrier on the Hathigahat railway bridge towards the fort, only vehicles carrying statues will be allowed to enter. Other vehicles will be diverted towards the crematorium intersection.
  • Entry of all types of vehicles from Etmaduddaula side will be closed on the Stretchy Bridge. – Passenger vehicles diverted from Yamuna Kinara Marg will be able to travel via MG Road.
  • No-entry passes or permission letters previously issued to vehicles have been cancelled till the end of Ganesha idol immersion.
