A gang of gangsters was targeting closed houses in Jagdishpura police station area of ââAgra. The police station arrested the gangster after an encounter in Bichpuri area on Wednesday night. He fired to escape from the police. But the police, defending themselves, opened fire. He was injured by a bullet in his leg. Two associates of the accused are absconding. The police is searching for them.

ACP Lohamandi Mayank Tiwari told that on November 1, there was theft in Chandniâs house in Kalwari. She had gone to Jaipur. On October 28, thieves targeted Hafeez Khanâs house in Rahul Nagar. It was his daughterâs wedding. The family had gone to the marriage home. Thieves entered from behind. Jewelery worth lakhs was stolen and taken away. Police registered cases in both the cases and started searching. Police got clues from CCTV cameras.

Bullet shot in the leg of the criminal
On Wednesday night, the police team arrested Gudda Kori of Kishorepura after an encounter on Pathaili Marg in Bichpuri. He had fired at the police to avoid arrest. He was injured by a bullet in his leg in retaliation by the police. During interrogation it was revealed that he had committed theft in both the houses. Jeetu alias Kalia of Bichpuri and Raju of Achhnera were also included with him. There are already 7 cases registered against Gudda. In the year 2015, a case under Gangster Act was also registered in Tajganj police station. A pistol and jewelery have been recovered from the accused.
