During this, he had revealed that he changed Shahrukh’s name to Abhinav to convince his parents that he is a Hindu boy. Gauri had told, “We changed his name to Abhinav so that he would think he was a Hindu boy, but it was really silly and very childish.”

In the first season of Koffee with Karan, Gauri had talked about her decision not to convert to religion. He had said, “There is a balance.” I respect Shahrukh’s religion, but it does not mean that I will convert. I believe that everyone should follow their faith and have mutual respect.
