Mohammed Sohail, a resident of Bodhgaya Godown Road in Bodhgaya police station area of ​​Gaya district, died in a fire incident in Vietnam recently. Mohammed Sohail used to do business in Vietnam along with doing a language course. He had married a woman in Vietnam. The couple died of suffocation in a fire incident on June 26. Deceased Mohammed Sohail was the only breadwinner in the family. His father had died earlier.

Mohammed Sohail’s earnings were the source of his family’s sustenance. After hearing the news of Mohammed Sohail’s death, his family is inconsolable. He contacted the district’s administrative officials and the embassy to let the family see the body for the last time, but was disappointed everywhere.

After that, the Hindu-Muslim people of the locality, showing mutual harmony, started efforts at their own level to bring the body of the Muslim youth from Vietnam. The youth of Hindu and Muslim community collected donations. In just 24 hours, donations of Rs 12 lakh were collected. After that, the body of the deceased Mohammad Sohail was brought to Kolkata from Vietnam late on Thursday night. From here it was brought to Bodh Gaya by ambulance.

On Friday, Mohammad Sohail was cremated in the cemetery as per Muslim rituals. After the funeral, the family expressed their anger against the central government. They said that they did not get any help from the government to bring the body, but people from Hindu and Muslim communities living around the house collected donations and brought the body.
