On Wednesday evening, the body of a young man was found hanging from a noose in a hut near a tube well in Jagdishpur village of Ghatampur. The family has accused a friend of the young man of murdering him and hanging the body on the noose. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and called the forensic team to investigate. Indrapal Kuril (48), a resident of Jagdishpur village, used to support his family by farming.
At home are his wife Rajkumari, son Sunny (11) and three daughters – 19-year-old Shalu, 17-year-old Sheelu and 15-year-old Richa. The body of Indrapal Kuril was found hanging from a rope in a hut built near a tube-well on Wednesday evening. The family has accused one of Indrapal’s friends living in the village of murdering him and hanging his body from a rope in the hut. The family says that the two had a quarrel a few days ago.
Police station in-charge PK Singh said that prima facie the case seems to be a suicide. The allegations of the family members are being investigated. Further action will be taken after the post-mortem report and investigation. He said that a year ago the younger brother of the deceased had also committed suicide.
