The youth who had come to see jewelery at the goldsmith’s shop in Shikohabad, Firozabad, ran away with jewelery worth lakhs of rupees. When chased, a young man was pushed down by bike riding miscreants and ran away.
There is a gold and silver shop in the name of Radhika Jewelers at Katra Meera Punjabi Colony turn under the police station area. Where two miscreants riding a bike came posing as customers late on Saturday evening. A young man went to the shop and started looking at earrings. While the other was standing outside the shop with a bike. When the jewelers showed the earrings to the customer who came to the shop, he asked to show some more designs. Due to which the jewelers turned back to show some other designs. Then the miscreant who came posing as a customer ran away on the bike along with his companion standing outside carrying the earrings.
Some people even tried to catch them by running behind them, but the miscreants pushed the youth who was chasing them and made them fall and ran away. This entire incident was captured in the CCTV cameras installed there. Arun Thakur, brother of the victim jeweler, said that the miscreants had absconded with gold jewelery worth more than Rs 1 lakh. Police station in-charge Anil Kumar Singh says that the matter has come to our notice but we have not received any complaint about the incident. The incident is being investigated.
