More than 2200 apps were deleted

According to a latest report, Google has deleted a total of 2200 fake loan apps from the Google Play Store between September 2022 and August 2023. There were many fake loan apps on Google’s Play Store. By trusting these apps, users were subjected to a lot of fraud and mental torture. According to reports, Google has taken this step following the instructions of the government.

In fact, Minister of State for Finance Bhagwat Karad, while answering the questions asked in Parliament, informed that the government is working with RBI to curb fake loan apps. According to the report of the IT Ministry of India, Google had reviewed about 4000 apps for Play Store between April 2021 and July 2022, after which it was decided to remove 2200 apps.
