Google also continuously tries to improve its navigation service so that users always get better experience. This time also Google has added a new and very amazing feature in Google Maps. Its name is 3D Buildings.

Google’s 3D Maps

This feature means that while viewing Google Map navigation, users will now be able to see all the buildings on the route in 3D dimension, which will make it more convenient for travelers to use navigation than before.

Tech world’s popular tipster Assemble Debug has given information about this new feature of Google Maps through his X (old name Twitter) account. He has written in his post that the option of “Show 3D buildings” has been added to Google Maps. This feature is being tested for some time. This feature has been made available in beta version 125 of Google Maps. It is already possible to view 3D buildings in the normal map view through the layer option.

In the post made by AssembleDebug on X, it can be seen that after going to navigation settings inside Google Maps, a new option is visible, its name is Show 3D buildings. Toggle option is given in front of this option. Even if you turn on the toggle in front of this option, users will be able to see the same buildings in 3D form in the navigation of their Google Map, wherever and whenever there are big buildings on the route during their journey. This will really be a new experience.

Steps to activate this feature:

  • open google maps
  • Click on your Google profile visible on the top right corner
  • After that click on Settings option
  • Scrolling inside the settings, you will find the option of navigation settings, click on it.
  • If you go down there, you will see the option of Show 3D buildings, in front of which there will be a toggle option.
  • By turning on this toggle, you will be able to use this feature, and by turning it off, 3D buildings will not be visible.

Although, this feature is currently in testing mode, and has been released only for some selected beta users, but in the coming time, Google will release this special feature in its navigation service for common users also.
