Google Pay Partners With NPCI To Expand UPI In International Markets


UPAI apps are widely used in India. Today everyone definitely has some UPI app in their phone. Seeing the increasing use of UPAI, the Indian government is working on introducing it in foreign countries also. UPI service is being started in many countries. Now in this direction, Google India Digital has signed an MOU with National Payment Corporation of India International Payment. Under this, people in foreign countries will also be able to make UPI payment through Gpay. This information has come to light in the IANS report.

Emphasis is being given on safe and secure ecosystem

It has also been said in the report that like India, a network like UPI will be started in foreign countries so that people do not face any problem in payment. Google Pay India, Director and Partnerships, Deeksha Kaushal said, “We are extremely pleased to support NIPL in expanding the reach of UPI in international markets. He said that Google Pay has been a proud and willing partner for NPCI and the financial ecosystem and with the guidance of NPCI and this new partnership, the company will deliver on its commitment to make payments simple, secure and convenient.

Along with this, Kaushal also emphasized that UPI has demonstrated to the global community the significant transformation that occurs in economies when interoperable, population-scale digital infrastructure is introduced. He said that whichever economy is part of this network will generate more impact than the sum of its individual components.

This partnership between Google and NPCI will also focus on simplifying the payment process between countries using the existing Unified Payments Interface (UPI). With its help, foreign sellers will also be able to reach Indians and people will be able to easily transfer funds etc. This will further improve the growth of UPI.
