What is Project Jarvis in Hindi: Google is working on an AI technology that will complete various tasks by controlling the web browser. According to Reuters, this AI tool will come to the browser as ‘Project Jarvis’ and will launch with the next release of Google Gemini LLM (Large Language Model).
Google’s new project
With this technology, users will find it easier to conduct online research as they will not need to develop APIs or make screen recordings to instruct AI tools. Instead, users can give commands directly in the browser and AI tools will automatically fill out forms, click buttons, open web pages, transform search data into tables, purchase products, and book flights.
Google is not alone in developing such technology. OpenAI is also working on a computer-using agent (CUA) that will automatically surf the web in the user’s browser.
AI will control the entire computer
In addition to Google’s AI browser-based technology, there are rumors on social media that Anthropic and Google want to take this tool to the next level, going beyond controlling the browser, to controlling your computer itself.
Companies are trying to create an agent that can control your computer for you. Like opening all the work apps and arranging them on your screen, and it will interact with your system for you. After listening to your commands, the computer will do all the work for you with the help of this AI technology.
However, browser-based Project Jarvis may also raise user privacy and security concerns, as did Microsoft’s controversial Recall feature. A lot of sensitive data can be accessed through such web browsers – including emails, work files and even banking details.
For this reason, Google should provide a security around Project Jarvis and its future development to ensure that no one can access any users’ personal information.
