The head of Machhagar Lakshiram Panchayat of Hathua block of Gopalganj district of Bihar has accused the policemen posted at Hathua police station of assault. At the same time, dozens of Mukhiyas, including the District President of the Mukhiya Sangh, met SP Swarn Prabhat and submitted an application demanding investigation into the entire matter and action against the accused policeman. At present, SP Swarn Prabhat has instructed Hathua SDPO to investigate the entire matter.
The chief told that last Tuesday morning, Sub Inspector Pratibha Nigam of Mirganj police station called me to talk about the case of Santosh Pandey of my Panchayat. After going to the police station, met Pratibha ji. Pratibha ji said bring Santosh Pandey, his mobile is here. I said that I cannot go to call because I have a dispute with him. Mukhiya told that by then SI Vinod Yadav standing nearby said, O Mukhiya, you should call him and arrest him. When he scolded me, I said that I am a public representative, do not use abusive language with me, sir. By then, Ashish Kumar Singh, standing behind, held my neck, pushed me and abused me and said that you are too lazy to say anything to me. On that I said do not use abusive language. By then he again held my neck and pushed me, due to which I fell and both Ashish Singh and Vinod Yadav climbed on top of me and started kicking and punching me.
The chief further said that he also dragged me on the ground and locked me in the toilet. I requested again and again with folded hands, but they did not listen to me and Ashish Singh and Vinod Yadav abused my mother and sister and beat me. Through some means all the heads of Hathua block came to know. Then the chief came to the police station and somehow freed me from the situation by fulfilling every condition. The entire truth of the incident will be known from the CCTV cameras of the police station. In this context, SP Swarn Prabhat said that Hathua SDPO has been instructed to investigate the matter. The case is being investigated.
