The police of Nagar police station of Gopalganj district has started the work of arresting people who are doing business of selling cartridges to criminals in the name of licensed guns. Two people involved in this entire racket were arrested on Thursday evening. Even before this, the city police station has made arrests in such cases.
Regarding the two people who were arrested on Thursday, the city police station said that
On the basis of secret information, Bikki Sharma, son of Lalan Sharma, resident of Phulugani Tola Loharpatti village of Thawe police station area of the district, was arrested 100 meters ahead of Turkahan bridge with a country-made pistol and 12 live cartridges. On the behest of the arrested accused, Guddu Singh, son of Mayashankar Singh, resident of Bhediya village of Nagar police station area, was arrested with a licensed rifle, 10 live cartridges, 47 cartridges and a license.
During interrogation, arrested accused Guddu Kumar Singh told that we used to buy and sell cartridges from Shiva Gun House in the name of our licensed rifle. Now the city police station is investigating to catch more people involved in this racket.
