Police has intensified raids regarding the arrest of Mafia Vinod Upadhyay. On Wednesday, the police, along with his two nephews, raided his in-laws’ house in Barpar village of Deoria. But, Vinod was not found, both his father-in-law and brother-in-law were absconding. On the basis of enquiry, the police have intensified raids on other mafia hideouts.
The SSP has already declared a reward of Rs 25,000 each on Mafia Vinod and his brother Sanjay and LBW has also been issued by the court. After this, on Tuesday, in search of Vinod Upadhyay’s brothers, the police raided Shakti Nagar Colony of Shahpur police station area, where two sons of Vinod’s brother Jayprakash were found.
On Wednesday, the police raided Vinod’s in-laws’ in-laws in Barpar village of Rampur Karkhana police station area of Deoria district, while both Vinod’s father-in-law Arvind Tripathi and brother-in-law Prince Tripathi were absconding from the house. The police is interrogating both the sons.
Vinod’s brother Jayaprakash works as a contractor in the Railways. The money generated by Vinod’s crime has been used to buy and sell land through Jayaprakash.
