Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel increased DA by 4 percent for government employees


Gujarat News: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has given a gift to the state government employees. Taking an important decision, he has announced to increase the dearness allowance of the employees. CM Bhupendra Patel has announced a four percent increase in dearness allowance based on central rates effective from January 1, 2024 for the employees coming under the Seventh Pay Commission.

It was told by the office of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel that this increase in dearness allowance will benefit 4.71 lakh employees of Gujarat and about 4.73 lakh retired employees i.e. pensioners.

The arrears of dearness allowance for six months from January 1, 2024 to June 30, 2024 will be given in three installments along with the salary. The state government will distribute a total of Rs 1129.51 crore to settle this arrears of the employees.

According to the Bhupendra Patel government of Gujarat, after the increase in dearness allowance, the increased amount will be given to the government employees in installments. The DA amount will be deposited in the employees’ account along with the salary. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has given the green signal for this.

Let us tell you that after the Gujarat government increased the dearness allowance by four percent, the amount for January 2024 and February 2024 will come with the salary of July. At the same time, the amount for March and April will come to the employees’ account with the salary of the next month. Similarly, the amount for May and June will come with the salary of September.
