Gujarat Court Rape Kidnapping Forced Abortion With Women In Banaskantha Case Registered After Court Intervention


Gujarat Police: Gujarat Police has registered an FIR in a case of rape, abduction and forced abortion of a woman in Banaskantha district following court’s intervention. Deesa rural police have named eight people, including the victim’s brother, in the FIR lodged on Thursday night. The victim had fallen in love with Mukesh Vaghela and both got married in October 2021. But the victim’s family did not accept their marriage. The victim’s brother Suresh along with others abducted her from Vithodar village of Deesa taluka on 9 June 2022 and took her to Rajasthan.

What did the complainant say?
According to the complainant, the victim was four months pregnant at that time. The victim was later taken to the hospital, where she was forced to undergo an abortion. The victim alleges that later she was taken back home and her brother Suresh sold her to a person named Bhinmal Hiraji. Hariji later handed her over to one Dinesh Modi, who raped her at his residence and took her hostage. However, she somehow managed to escape and returned to her husband’s house.

With the support of her husband and in-laws, she tried to file a complaint against her brother and others, but the police refused to register a complaint. After which he approached the court and the court ordered the police to register an FIR.
