SP chief’s wife Dimple Yadav won the Mainpuri seat, which fell vacant after the death of his father and SP founder, by a margin of two lakh 88 thousand 461 votes.
The second good news is that his estrangement from the last five years with his uncle Shivpal Yadav ended today and his party Praspa merged with SP. The SP chief announced this merger by tweeting today. Along with this, the third good news for Samajwadi Party came from Gujarat where their candidate has registered victory.

SP candidate Kandhalbhai Sarmanbhai Jadeja from Kutiana seat of Gujarat has defeated his nearest BJP candidate Dheliben Maldebhai Odedara by a margin of more than 26 thousand votes.
Dimple won from Mainpuri
Samajwadi Party (SP) candidate Dimple Yadav retained the seat by defeating her nearest rival Raghuraj Singh Shakya of BJP by a margin of two lakh 88 thousand 461 votes in Mainpuri Lok Sabha seat.
According to the result declared by the Election Commission, Dimple Yadav won by two lakh 88 thousand 461 votes. Dimple got six lakh 18 thousand 120 votes while Shakya got three lakh 29 thousand 659 votes. The Mainpuri Lok Sabha seat fell vacant due to the death of SP founder Mulayam Singh Yadav. Voting was held on December 5 last under the by-election of this seat.
