Ingredients for making Kada Prasad
Wheat flour (coarsely ground) – 1 cup
Desi ghee – 1 cup
Sugar – 1 cup (as per taste)
Cashew nuts, pistachios chopped – 1 tbsp
Water – 4 cups

How to make Kada Prasad
To make Kada Prasad on Guru Nanak Jayanti, first of all take a pan or a thick bottom vessel and put water in it and keep it on medium flame to heat. Meanwhile, take another pan and put desi ghee in it and keep it on medium flame to heat. When the ghee melts, slow down the gas flame. Add coarsely ground wheat flour to it and mix it well with the help of a ladle. Fry the flour until its color turns golden brown.

When the color of the flour turns golden brown, add 1 cup sugar or as per taste and mix it well. Meanwhile, when the water kept for heating starts boiling, turn off the gas. Now slowly add this hot water to the flour and mix it with the help of a ladle. Mix it well and keep in mind that there should be no lumps left in the Kada Prasad.

When the flour and water mix well and become like a thick batter, increase the flame and cover the pan and let the Kada Prasad cook for at least 10 minutes. During this, keep stirring the prasad with a ladle in between. Kada Prasad has to be cooked until the water present in it dries up completely. After this turn off the gas. Tasty Kada Prasad is ready. Garnish it with cashew and pistachio shavings and serve.
