On Ashadh Purnima, 18.75 lakh disciples visited their Gurus in ashrams, monasteries and temples from cities to villages and took their blessings. The sight of Guru Purnima, the festival of Guru-disciple tradition, was worth seeing. Every corner of the city was bustling on Guru Parv.

The rituals of Ashadh Purnima started with the first rays of dawn in the ashrams situated between Samaneghaat and Padav. The disciples had queued up from around 3 o’clock in the night to have darshan and worship of Gurudev at Aghor Peeth Shri Sarveshwari Samuh Ashram Padav.

Baba Aughad Gurupad Sambhav Ram, the head priest of Aghorpeeth, sat for 4:30 hours continuously and showered the disciples with the nectar of Guru’s grace. At 4:30 in the morning, the devotees took out a Prabhatpheri till the Aghoreshwar Mahavibhuti Sthal Gangabank.

After the morning cleaning and Shramdaan, Gurupad Sambhav Ram worshipped the eternal seat of Aghoreshwar Bhagwan Ram from 7 a.m. Dr. SP Singh, minister of Shri Sarveshwari Group, hoisted the Sarveshwari flag.

The Saphalayoni Paath was done by the Director of Aghor Shodh Sansthan, Ashok Kumar. Gurupad Sambhav sat on the Ram Asan at around 7:30 pm. The darshan-pujan started with the chanting of Har-Har Mahadev by the disciples and continued till 12 noon.

Guru Darbar was decorated in Santmat follower Ashram Math Garhwaghat. There was a queue of disciples to get the blessings of Peethadheeshwar Guru Sarananand Maharaj. During this time Baba Prakashdhyananand Maharaj, Dharmadarshananand, Haridhyananand, Divyadarshananand helped in the arrangements.
