According to the police, during the investigation of a serious case, a notice was issued to WhatsApp through e-mail on July 17 and it was asked to provide necessary information. Despite several requests, there was no response from WhatsApp nor was any information given to the police. On Saturday, a case has been registered against the directors and nodal officers of WhatsApp at the Cyber ​​Crime East Police Station in Gurugram under sections 223 (A), 241, 249 (C) BNS and Information Technology Act.

WhatsApp violated legal guidelines

According to the police, under the existing laws of the country, WhatsApp is obliged to provide necessary legal information. Despite this, WhatsApp management did not provide any information in this serious matter and violated the legal instructions. Let us tell you that new cases of cyber fraud are coming to light through WhatsApp and other apps. This includes finance, job and many other methods. Many times people are also arrested digitally. The government is also taking necessary steps to stop this. Even cyber fraudsters are defrauding people and emptying bank accounts with the help of WhatsApp and other apps.
