A Chinese tourist family had to face a very strange situation when they were asked to clean the entire house including the toilet while leaving the house after staying as paying guests. It was also said that if they did not do so, they would have to lose their deposits. When this story came on social media, people gave strong reactions to it and talked about supporting the family.
This unique case is of Haihua Island in South Hainan Province of China, which is also known as Ocean Flower Island. Here a lady from the Wang family had rented a 280 square meter house for her family in the spring season, the rent of which was around Rs 2 lakh 35 thousand per month.
In this way, people rent houses during holidays to avoid crowd. The Weng family had acquired this house with the help of an agent. After staying for two weeks, when the family was about to leave on 15th February, they were shocked to hear the agent’s words. The agent put forward a strange condition for returning the deposit.

The agent who signed the contract refused to return 5,000 yuan (Rs 58,000) to the family and said that he had not left the toilet and the house in a high enough standard so that new guests could move in directly. The agent continued to point out the mistakes of the Wang family.
The agent then went on to say that if the family did not clean the toilets, floors, fridge and bedding properly and did not leave the house as it was when they arrived, they would not get the deposit back. This Wang family called the police and made a video of their house and asked people’s opinion on social media.

His video received 6 million views on the social site Douyin. People were displeased with the agent’s behavior with the Wang family. People clearly said that it was the agency’s job to get the cleaning done after the family left. One user even said that this is just like a restaurant making you clean the utensils after eating.
