Bihar Case Wrong Treatment: A shocking incident has come to light from Purnia district of Bihar, where an elderly man, whose thigh bone was broken, died during treatment in a private nursing home. After the death, angry family members protested outside the nursing home. The family alleges that the compounder treated the elderly man in the absence of a doctor and due to his negligence he lost his life. The allegation is that an overdose of medicine was given after taking him to the operation theatre, due to which the patient died.
Pretended to be serious while kept in ventilator
The incident took place on Thursday, May 15, when Kedar Bhagat, a resident of Shastri Nagar in Gulab Bagh of Sadar police station area, broke his thigh bone due to slipping in his house. After which the family admitted him to a private nursing home located on Line Bazaar Road. Family members allege that in the absence of doctors, the compounder took the patient to the operation theatre, where the patient died due to an overdose of medicine.
According to family members, the compounder performed the fatal operation by giving an overdose of medicines in the absence of doctors. The compounder had also put him on ventilator before his death. The compounder did not inform the family about the death of the patient, instead he put him on the ventilator and started saying that the patient’s condition was serious.
But, when the family members repeatedly asked to see the patient, he informed them about his death. After this, when the family members protested, the accused compounder got them beaten by the bouncers posted in the nursing home. After this, the angry family members blocked the road.
