The court of Special Judge Robbery Court Anil Kumar Kharwar pronounced the verdict in the 18-year-old robbery case. The court has sentenced six culprits, including father and son, to life imprisonment. Separate fines have been imposed on each culprit. Non-payment of fine will result in additional punishment. Three accused in the case have died during the trial.
Plaintiff Ashish Kumar Soni, resident of Kasba Mohalla Gurguj of Sumerpur police station area, had given the complaint on 16 October 2006. It was told that at around 2 o’clock in the night, his family members father Shivlal Soni, mother Mamta Devi, sister Pooja, Brijesh and Sandhya were sleeping at home. Then he woke up and started reading. At the same time, he heard a knocking sound, so he opened the door of the room next to his room and looked out and saw 10-12 people coming. Seeing them, he tried to close the door but they pushed the door and entered the house.
