In 1994, Deepak came to Mumbai where the struggle was huge. According to media reports, Deepak Dobriyal came to Mumbai with just Rs 7,000. Where many people used to live in a single room. Deepak struggled here for 4 years during which he spent all his money on food, accommodation and transport long ago. Later, he got small roles which helped him to get by but Deepak was not satisfied with these roles.
Deepak Dobriyal told in an interview that once a friend of his lured him with chowmein and took him to an audition. Here Deepak gave the audition lured by the chowmein and he got selected. That film was Maqbool (2003) in which Irrfan Khan was also there. After this Deepak did many films but he got recognition from Vishal Bhardwajâs film Omkara (2006).
