Munmun Dutta was born on 28 September 1987 in Durgapur, West Bengal in a Bengali family. He has obtained a master’s degree in English Literature from Kolkata.
In childhood, Munmun Dutta used to sing and act on All India Radio and Doordarshan. That’s why he never had any hesitation in coming on screen.
In 2004, Munmun Dutta made her acting debut with Zee TV’s show ‘Hum Sab Baraati’. But she gained popularity by playing Babita ji in ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ released in 2008.
According to the report of Times Now, Dilip Joshi, who plays Jethalal in ‘Taarak Mehta…’, had asked Munmun Dutta to audition for the role of Babita ji in the show. Munmun Dutta agreed to his request because he was a senior actor and she also got selected for that role.
Munmun Dutta made her debut in films with Kamal Haasan’s film Mumbai Express in 2006. After this, Munmun was seen in the film Holiday which was Akshay Kumar’s film.
There have been many stories of Munmun Dutta’s affair but the actress never accepted the affair to anyone. Even at this age she calls herself single.
