Halal vs Haram Food: In the religion of Islam, food items are also divided into ‘Haram’ and ‘Halal’. According to the religion of Islam, Islamic teachings decide which food items are ‘Halal’ (pure) and which are ‘Haram’ (impure).

These foods are considered haram in Islam
Pig meat and foods made from it – One of the biggest prohibitions in Islam is the consumption of pig meat or foods made from its meat. Mention of this thing can be seen in many verses of the Quran. (Surah al-Baqarah, 2:173; Surah al-Anam, 6:145; Surah al-Isra, 17:16). Using other products made from pig meat like bacon, ham (special kind of meat) is also prohibited in Islam religion.

Blood- Consuming animal blood is also prohibited in Islam. Consuming or using blood makes the food impure and impure. There is mention of this in the Quran also.

Narcotics- In the religion of Islam, it is advised not to consume drugs and alcohol. Consumption of alcohol has a negative impact on your conscience. Which leads you completely towards sin. It is clearly said in the Quran that O believers, by consuming intoxicants, gambling, and offering sacrifices on stone altars, you will be doing the work of Satan.

Carnivorous animals and predatory birds- In the religion of Islam, it is absolutely forbidden to eat such animals, which are hunting in nature or have claws. Because these animals eat the rotten flesh of other animals. Examples of such animals are lions, tigers, wolves and eagles, which are completely prohibited to eat in the religion of Islam.

dead meat- Islam also prohibits eating animals that have not been slaughtered properly or have died prematurely. There are many reasons for not consuming these halal foods in Islam.

Spiritual and moral purity- Spiritual purity is maintained by not consuming haram foods. By not eating these prohibited foods, a person obeys the words of Allah.

Health and Wellness- Avoiding consumption of pork, blood and intoxicants keeps the body healthy. Due to parasites in pig meat, a person can become victim of serious disease.

Ethical treatment of animals- It reflects ethical behavior by not consuming carnivorous animals and predatory birds. In the religion of Islam, it is said to be kind to animals.
