The case of death of a pregnant woman, who was admitted to a private hospital after being referred from the medical college last Saturday, has gained momentum. The private hospital had deposited Rs 12,000 from the pregnant womanâs husband for two units in the name of blood transfusion and was not able to arrange for blood till late night. The pregnant woman had died due to blood loss. On Tuesday, the team of Deputy CMO Dr. Manoj Kumar Singh raided the private hospital and sealed it.

Ramnandini (32), wife of Sudhir Vajpayee, resident of Jagatpurwa of Sursa police station area, was pregnant. On Saturday, after being referred from the medical college, the family took him to Shantikuti Hospital. Here, Rs 2650 was deposited in the name of blood test and ultrasound. The doctor found here had deposited Rs 12,000 for two units of blood, saying that he was suffering from anemia. Even after this blood was not transfused. Ramnandini had died. The post-mortem revealed death due to blood loss. It was also revealed that there was no doctor posted in the hospital. On receiving this information, the team led by Deputy CMO Dr. Manoj Kumar Singh reached Shantikuti Hospital and sealed it. Dr. Manoj said that neither any patient nor doctor was found on the spot. The entire matter is being investigated.
